Octagon —

Octagon houses and structures are characterized by an octagonal plan form, whether a perfect geometric octagon or a regular eight-sided polygon with approximately equal sides.

Ox-eye window —

Oval window, typical of baroque. Arranged for additional overhead lighting in high rooms. In the attic, floors and attics could be used as the only source of outside light.

Roof truss —

A triangulated combination of members and joints that forms a rigid structural component of a roof, designed to support both permanent and imposed loads.
